At Comfort Zone Insulation we use POLARFOAM™ PF-7300-0 SOYA, a closed cell medium density foam, known as the all-in-one wall system. It provides insulation, air and vapour barrier in one product. PF-7300-SOYA meets all the requirements of the National Building Code of Canada (NBC) and exceeds the quality standards for the “Standard for Thermal Insulation Spray Applied Rigid Polyurethane Foam, Medium Density, Material specification”.
A thermal barrier is a material or coating, applied over polyurethane foam, designed to slow the temperature increase of the foam during a fire, and to delay the foam's involvement in a fire. All plastic insulation must be protected from interior occupancy space by an approved thermal barrier to meet the requirements of local Building Codes.
Blown Cellulose Insulation is a highly cost-efficient insulation material made with 85% post-consumer recycled newspaper. It is commonly used in both new construction and retrofits. It can be applied easily in horizontal, low and steep pitched slopes, including attic areas and ceilings. It is fire resistant and rodent retardant and has excellent sound proofing qualities.
